Elocent ("we", "us", "our") operates the platform at elocent.com. We are the data controller for information collected when you create an account or use our services. For questions about this policy, contact us at support.elocent@gmail.com.

Account holders (businesses):

• Name and email address (on signup)
• Payment information (processed securely by Lemon Squeezy — we do not store card details)
• Business name and workspace configuration
• Usage data (pages visited, features used, session data)

Reviewers (your customers):

• Name and optional email address (as provided when submitting a review)
• Video, photo, and text content submitted voluntarily
• Star rating and written feedback
• Approximate location (country level, for analytics only)

Automatically collected:

• IP address and browser/device information
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)
• Log data (error reports, timestamps, page load times)

We use collected data to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Elocent platform
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (account verification, receipts, password reset)
• Send product updates and announcements (you can opt out at any time)
• Generate AI-powered review summaries (Pro/Pro+ plans — content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API)
• Analyse usage patterns to improve features and fix bugs
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication
• Cloudflare R2 / AWS S3 — secure video and photo file storage
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing (they are a merchant of record)
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI review summaries (Pro/Pro+ only; review content is sent for processing)
• Vercel — application hosting and serverless functions

All third-party providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purpose of providing their services to us.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records, which we keep for up to 7 years).

Review content (submitted by your customers) is retained for the duration of your account. You can delete individual reviews at any time from your dashboard.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect the functionality of the platform.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Object — object to processing of your data for certain purposes

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Children's Privacy

Elocent is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
